CALL TO ORDER <br />Jeffrey Schmitt: This is the regularly scheduled meeting of the Orange county Board of Adjustments and we have a <br />quorum. <br /> <br />4. A-8-09 – Canine College – Class II Kennel at 719 New Hope Church Road <br /> <br />Mr. Gene Lonsway, owner/operator of Canine College, is requesting the issuance of a Class B Special <br />Use Permit to allow for the development and operation of a Class II Kennel at 719 New Hope Church <br />Road. <br />As detailed within the application, Mr. Lonsway is seeking to construct a 3,200 square foot <br />boarding/training building to house up to twenty (20) dogs as well as a 1,600 square foot storage <br />building. The project also involves the fencing in of a 1,800 square foot area of the property to serve <br />as an exercise area for the animals. <br />Access to the proposed facility is proposed to be through an existing driveway onto New Hope Church <br />Road. <br />Mr. Lonsway is proposing to reside within an existing single-family residence already located on the <br />property to provide twenty-four hour care for the animals boarded at the facility. <br /> <br />Individuals signed up to be sworn in: 36 <br />37 <br />38 <br />39 <br />40 41 <br />42 <br />43 <br />44 45 <br />46 <br />Harold Southerland <br />Bobby Mauer <br />Joan Austin <br />Joe Rogers <br />Carol Woodell <br />Steve Hutzler <br />Vic Knight <br />Tony Whitaker <br />Gene Lonsway <br />Noral D. Mr. Herman, how long will your <br />presentation last? <br /> <br />Mr. Herman: Two to three hours. <br /> <br />Jeffrey Schmitt: Mr. Maitland? <br /> <br />Mr. Maitland: I could probably get it to 90 minutes but in fairness, I would say two hours. <br />
