After attending the 12/12/2016 <br />36 meeting I heard concerns with proposed related to health, property values, and the environment. 1 <br />37 will address the first two of those from my own personal opinion, my non - professional, non -work <br />38 opinion. Regarding health: I understand the Board is not allowed to consider health concerns <br />39 related to a cell tower directly, because the FCC deems cell towers not harmful to our health. <br />40 However, because one of the witnesses at the 12/12 meeting and then an appraisal witness this <br />41 evening brought up the issue of health concerns related to a cell phone tower, and I did, I typed a <br />42 direct quote at the time from the 12/12 meeting, I'm sure it's in the Minutes, of the witness who <br />43 spoke to it at that time. And also, since it is possible some of the opposition to the tower is driven, <br />44 at least in part, by the potential health concerns I'm going to briefly respond for those of us who do <br />45 not see any link between cell towers and health effects. Based on the recommendations from <br />46 well- recognized sources, such as the American Cancer Society, The World Health Organization, <br />47 and Health Canada, because some refuting parties believe that these are U.S. sources promoting <br />48 that cell towers are not linked to health concerns. Health Canada as well, to name a few, a <br />49 growing body of evidence does not support the belief that cell towers are harmful to our health. <br />50 Not only do these sources suggest a type of radiation, RF, which is admitted by the cell towers, is <br />OC Board of Adjustment — 12/12/16 Page 113 of 156 <br />
