1
Kara Brewer: Yes. 2
3
LeAnne Brown: When exactly did you discover chestnuts? You said that you discovered them but when did 4
you discover them? 5
6
Kara Brewer: So let’s see. We bought the property in March. We started and had gotten rid of the almond 7
idea so it was probably September or summer 2015. 8
9
LeAnne Brown: Before the hearing? 10
11
Kara Brewer: Yes. 12
13
LeAnne Brown: How many acres are in your forestry management plan, do you know? 14
15
Kara Brewer: I can look. It’s right here. 16
17
Andy Petesch: It’s under tab 17. 18
19
Kara Brewer: So you’re looking specifically for the total number of acres? 20
21
LeAnne Brown: Yes, Ma’am. How many acres do you have in your forestry plan on your property? 22
23
Kara Brewer: It’s for the entire property and they divided it out separate. There’s area one and area two but 24
I don’t… 25
26
LeAnne Brown: It’s, in fact, the size of your property, isn’t it? 27
28
Kara Brewer: Correct. 29
30
LeAnne Brown: So how does the barn fit into your forestry plan? Or the parking lot or the septic area that’s 31
all cleared or the flower area that’s all cleared? How does that fit with the forestry plan that you’ve 32
represented would cover the entirety of the acreage? 33
34
Kara Brewer: Right. So my choice with the forestry plan was to completely clear-cut, which I did not want to 35
do or it was to leave some of the trees, which that is what I wanted to do. So, that’s what we ended up 36
doing? 37
38
LeAnne Brown: But you can’t really have a forestry plan that covers the entirety of your acreage if you have 39
a disturbed area of over two acres, not including your septic field and not including areas you cleared. Is 40
that correct? 41
42
Kara Brewer: I’m not exactly sure what you mean. 43
44
LeAnne Brown: Alright. 45
46
Kara Brewer: I just opted not to clear-cut because I didn’t want to do that. 47
48
56
