up, driving off, doors slamming, music coming from the center, that would be quite noisy. And I don’t like 1
that idea. 2
3
LeAnne Brown: Your property line is contiguous to the Brewer Property. Do you believe that the 4
development of the property with the event center/wedding venue will diminish the value of your property as 5
farm property? 6
7
Margaret Wilkman: I think it will, yes. 8
9
LeAnne Brown: You own the property with whom? 10
11
Margaret Wilkman: My sister, Alice. 12
13
LeAnne Brown: And how long have you and Alice lived on the property? 14
15
Margaret Wilkman: Since the summer of 1999. 16
17
LeAnne Brown: I don’t have any other questions of Ms. Wilkman. 18
19
Andy Petesch: No questions. 20
21
Karen Barrows: Does the Board have any questions? Thank you. 22
23
LeAnne Brown: I’ll ask Alice Wilkman to come up please. 24
25
Michael Harvey swore in Alice Wilkman. 26
27
Michael Harvey: State your name and verify that you have been sworn. 28
29
Alice Wilkman: My name is Alice Wilkman, I live at 7310 Morrow Mill Road and I have been sworn. 30
31
LeAnne Brown: Ms. Wilkman, so that we can move on to the next part of the hearing I don’t want belabor 32
the damages but you heard your sister testify about the special damages that she believes that she will 33
suffer as a property owner and the animals will suffer. Do you believe you’ll suffer the same kinds of 34
damages that she identified? 35
36
Alice Wilkman: Yes and in fact because of the possibility that this large number of people would be 37
congregating I put up adding ducks to our property. Ducks are my thing. Chickens are my sister’s thing so 38
it’s really already damaged me in that respect and my ducks would be behind the shed so theoretically 39
closer to where the party barn would be. In addition to that the ducks don’t go into their pen at night, they’re 40
sort of like horses and they like to be in and out and chatter all night long. So lots of lights, lots of noise and 41
worst of all people coming down to torment them. 42
43
LeAnne Brown: You think the ducks would be an attractive… 44
45
Alice Wilkman: Attractive, as is my worry about the pond. The pond is also an attractive… That is the water 46
point for our neighborhood and I would hate to have to modify that plan because our fire department is 47
20
