MINUTES ITEM VI.A
ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF HEALTH
August 23, 2001
Board of Health Minutes Transcription completed by V. Anne Miles 5 August 23, 2001
Board members able to attend. At least two Board members have difficulty attending
meetings held during working hours.

Board members suggested that topics of concern that would normally be covered in
the work session be integrated into monthly Board of Health meetings in the
succeeding months by moving the meeting time to 7:00 P.M., thereby eliminating the
need for a work session at this time.

Motion to cancel the Board of Health work session scheduled for September 14,
2001, and integrate the topics covered at the session into regular Board of Health
meetings by moving the meeting time to 7:00 P.M. was made by Alan Rimer,
seconded by Lee Werley, and carried without dissent.

F. Follow-up on Legislative Agenda

The Board adopted a list of legislative priorities that it was interested in actively
supporting last spring. This list is available on the Orange County Health Department
web site and has been updated to provide a view of where each of these legislative
pieces is in the process through the NC General Assembly. A copy was provided for
Board members review and discussion.

V.
