MINUTES <br />ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF HEALTH <br />December 16, 2004 <br />Board of Health Minutes Transcription completed by Anne Miles Cassell 2 December 16, 2004 <br />seconded by Chris Harlan, and carried without dissent. <br /> <br />IV. Nominations Committee Report <br /> <br />Alan Rimer reported that the Nominations Committee would like to defer the recommendation for <br />appointment to the pharmacist representative position until the January board meeting to enable the <br />committee to interview each applicant. A recommendation will be made in January. <br /> <br />V. BOCC Board Input Summary Sheet <br /> <br />The Board of Commissioners holds a planning retreat annually to consider priority issues for the coming <br />year. Their retreat is scheduled for January 22, 2005. The Commissioners asked that each voluntary <br />Board or Commission complete an informational sheet for their consideration. <br /> <br />Board members discussed the draft sheet in the Board packet and made no changes. Alan Rimer will <br />hold himself ready to present if Commissioners desire. <br /> <br />VI. Approve Minutes of November 18, 2004 Meeting <br /> <br />Motion to approve the minutes of November 18, 2004 meeting of the Board of Health was made by Tim <br />Carey, seconded by Alan Rimer, and carried without dissent. <br /> <br />VII. Announcements <br /> <br />Chris Harlan announced that her department has received funding that will enable eight students to <br />work in a public health setting in the underserved community. <br /> <br />VIII. Adjournment <br /> <br />Motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Alan Rimer, seconded by Jessica Lee, and carried without <br />dissent. <br /> <br />The next Board of Health meeting will be held on January 27, 2005 at the Government Services Center <br />in Hillsborough, North Carolina at 7:00 PM. <br /> <br />Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Rosemary L.
