Reports and Discussion with Possible Action A. 04-05 Budget Presentation The Health Director gave a PowerPoint presentation highlighting the main points of the 04-05 budget. The requested budget is $7,672,142, an increase from the previous year of $1,261,462. The majority of the cost is due to the full implementation of the new pay and classification system. State revenue will likely remain stable for next year. There is a request for 2 ½ additional positions included in this budget and .5 additional time for an FNPI position for the addition of primary care. Motion to approve the 2004-05 Budget and forward it to the Board of County Commissioners for approval was made by Kate Wilder, seconded by Matt Vizithum, and carried without dissent. B. Dental Medicaid Fee Adjustments The Board was given a copy of a letter from Joy F. Reed, EdD, RN, NC Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Public Health-Administrative, Local and Community Support Section explaining the increase in Dental Medicaid rates to health departments based on the Medicaid lawsuit. C. Reauthorizing Year II of Teen Tobacco Grant
