MINUTES <br />ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF HEALTH <br />August 28, 2013 <br /> <br /> Page 1 <br />ORANGE COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT MISSION STATEMENT: To enhance the <br />quality of life, promote the health, and preserve the environment for all people in the <br />Orange County community. <br /> <br />THE ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF HEALTH MET ON August 28, 2013, at the <br />Orange County Health Department, 300 West Tryon Street, Hillsborough, NC. <br /> <br />BOARD OF HEALTH MEMBERS PRESENT: Corey Davis, Vice-Chair; Liska Lackey; <br />Tony Whitaker; Susan Elmore; Michael Wood; Commissioner Bernadette Pelissier, <br />Michael Carstens;:and Paul Chelminski. <br /> <br />BOARD OF HEALTH MEMBERS ABSENT: Matthew Kelm; Alex White, and Carol <br />Haggerty (resigned effective August 28, 2013). <br /> <br />STAFF PRESENT: Colleen Bridger, Health Director; Donna King, Public Health <br />Education Director; Pam McCall, Public Health Nursing Director; Christy Bradsher, <br />Financial and Administrative Services Division Director; Tom Konsler, Environmental <br />Health Director ; Stacy Shelp, Communications Manager; Annette Moore, Attorney- <br />Orange County Legal Department, Meredith Stewart, Senior Public Health Educator; <br />Ann Zellmer, Public Health Nurse II; and Vondra Jones, Administrative Assistant. <br /> <br />GUESTS PRESENT: None. <br /> <br />I. Welcome New Employees <br /> <br />Dr. Bridger introduced new staff members: Ann Zellmer, Public Health Nurse II and <br />Meredith Stewart, Senior Public Health Educator; <br /> <br />II. Public Comment for Items NOT on Printed Agenda: None <br /> <br />III. Approval of August 28, 2013 Agenda <br />Motion was made to approve the August 28, 2013 agenda and carried without <br />dissent. <br /> <br />IV. Action Items (Consent) <br /> <br />A. Minutes Approval of June 26, 2013 Meeting <br />Motion was made to approve the June 26, 2013 meeting minutes and carried <br />without dissent. <br /> <br />B. Minutes of June 26, 2013 Closed Session Minutes <br />Approved with correction of typo in Section I – “regular” should be “regulate” <br />and carried without dissent. <br /> <br /> <br />
