Welcome New Employees <br /> <br />Dr. Bridger introduced new staff members Terry Brooks, Pushti Patel, Ashley Mercer, <br />and Nigar Hasanaliyeva <br /> <br />II. Public Comment for Items NOT on Printed Agenda Flicka Bateman, Director <br />of the Refugee Support Center in Carrboro asked the board to make a recommendation <br />to the Board of County Commissioners putting a cap on the fee charged to refugees <br />completing the I-69 form when applying for permanent resident status that is filled out <br />by public health officials documenting vaccination status. Currently, the health <br />department charges a $25.00 fee per person and Flicka has asked for a $ 100.00 cap <br />per family for the larger families making it more affordable. Chair Kelm asked that staff <br />gather information on the volume and how much time staff spends on this for the June <br />meeting and have a discussion. <br /> <br />III. Approval of May 22, 2013 Agenda <br /> <br />Motion to approve the Agenda of May 22, 2013 was made by Mike Carstens, <br />seconded by Liska Lackey, and carried without dissent. <br /> <br />IV.
