With the Town approvals in place, the project is now ready for final review and approval by the <br />Board of Commissioners in order that construction drawings/specifications may be completed in <br />preparation for bidding by the end of the calendar year. <br />Bids will be released by the end of December and are tentatively scheduled for receipt on <br />January 23, 2007. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: Consultants are currently updating cost estimates of the project, as <br />approved by the HDC and Hillsborough Board of Adjustment. Although results are not <br />complete, preliminary estimates are consistent with the earlier project estimates. The entire <br />project budget, including all hard and soft costs, was set by the Board at $10.2 million. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board approve the design of the <br />Justice Facilities Expansion Project elements as presented. <br />
