• Campaign Signage - We have preliminary permission to place our signs on NCDOT right - <br />of -way, but we may not post on the same support as their signs. Our campaign signs will <br />be metal and will present the campaign logo. Ultimately, encroachment agreements will <br />be required for the NCDOT road signs. The number of signs will be determined by the <br />budget. <br />Yard signs are also proposed, and will also present the campaign logo. Yard signs will <br />be limited to 9 square feet in area and will be of a non -metal material, perhaps plasticized <br />cardboard like the county uses for its rezoning signs. <br />Final sign sizes are being decided and unit quotes from two vendors will be provided. <br />• Community Events, Swag /Loot and Tabling — Abigaile has a list of county events for 2018 <br />from the Visitors Center. The subcommittee will identify which events we would like to <br />attend. Swag /loot will be purchased for the events. <br />• Bike Rodeo /Bicycle Helmet Initiative — Sheriff Blackwood has numerous bicycle helmets <br />obtained from NCDOT and other grant sources. He has agreed to assist the <br />subcommittee with a Bike Rodeo this year. The exact date and details are still to be <br />worked out. <br />• Campaign Launch — We are aiming for May. There will likely be a presentation to the <br />BOCC prior to the launch date. Abigaile is still discussing the logistics with other staff. <br />• Campaign Budget. Sequencing of Events and Total Timeline — The sequencing of <br />events, Campaign budget and timeline is being discussed in greater detail on the <br />February 21 meeting (3:00 -5:00 p.m.). Additional information will be provided at the <br />OUTBoard meeting. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: There is no immediate financial impact associated with this item. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): Staff recommends that the OUTBoard: <br />1.
