ORANGE COUNTY <br />ORANGE UNIFIED TRANSPORTATION BOARD <br />ACTION AGENDA ITEM ABSTRACT <br />Meeting Date: January 17, 2018 <br />SUBJECT: Transportation Planning Website Update <br />DEPARTMENT: Planning and Inspections <br />ATTACHMENT(S): <br />Action Agenda <br />Item No. 7.b. <br />INFORMATION CONTACT: (919) <br />Nishith Trivedi, Transportation Planner, <br />919- 245 -2582 <br />PURPOSE: <br />Receive an update on the Transportation Planning website from Orange County Transportation <br />Planning staff and provide any input that the Board might have for internal Staff consideration. <br />BACKGROUND: The Transportation Planning division's website is broken divided into four <br />sections: <br />• Agencies — lists all governments responsible for transportation projects. <br />• Projects — resources all current projects in process. <br />• Resources — list various state, regional and local plans and programs. <br />• Web links — lists additional online resources for the general public. <br />These sections are being updated to include the must current links, adopted plans, and <br />implemented programs. <br />1. All agencies links are updated and moved to the first section. <br />2. Projects are listed with the current one in process and others that are in the works. <br />3. Resources list only those of significance, others can be found at the corresponding <br />agencies websites. <br />4. Web links are made consistent with each other. <br />A Transportation Projects Map has been drafted and is currently being made into an interactive <br />map. This will be added to the website after it is completed. <br />Next Steps <br />• Incorporate interactive Transportation Projects Map <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: There is no immediate financial impact associated with this item. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): Staff recommends that the OUTBoard: <br />1. Receive an update; and <br />2. Discuss as appropriate and provide any input for Staff consideration. <br />17 <br />
