Southeast Exotic Pest Plant Council http: / /www.se- ePpc.org_/ <br />The mission of the Southeast Exotic Pest Plant Council is to support the management of invasive exotic <br />plants in natural areas of the Southeast U.S. by providing a forum for the exchange of scientific, educational <br />and technical information. The Southeast Exotic Pest Plant Council is a non -profit organization and is not a <br />regulatory agency. <br />North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources Division of Water Resources <br />Aquatic Weed Control Program <br />http: / /www.ncwater.org /Education and Technical Assistance /Aquatic Weed Control/ <br />The Aquatic Weed Control Act of 1991 directs and regulates the Aquatic Weed Control Program. The <br />purpose of the program is to assist North Carolina citizens and local governments burdened with aquatic weed <br />infestations. The philosophy is that by responding early to localized outbreaks the Division of Water Resources <br />can mitigate the long -term economic and environmental impacts these species impose.
