Appendix A <br />Data, Tools, and Online Resources <br />The availability of spatial data and other tools related to planning and climate changes is increasing at a <br />rapid rate, so much so, that it can be hard to keep up with the rapid advances in the tools, data sets, and <br />information that are available. Here we provide a sampling of the varied resources that are available online, <br />drawing on information available on the web. The use of any of these resources is predicated upon evaluating <br />the assumptions and limitations associated with the data set, as well as its appropriateness to any particular <br />application. <br />Climate Change Policy and Adaptation Resources <br />The NOAA Coastal Climate Change Adaptation clearinghouse provides resources by category or state <br />including adaptation and action plans, case studies and strategies, climate change communication, climate <br />change science and impacts, policies and legislation, risk and vulnerability assessments, and stakeholder <br />engagement. http: // collaborate. csc.noaa.gov /climateadal2tation/ <br />The USDA Forest Service Climate Change Resource Center provides information and tools related to <br />climate change for land managers, including a short course on adapting to climate change. httl2://www.fs.fed. <br />us /ccrc/ <br />The Climate Decisions Website is a resource to help guide decision - making about climate change adaptation, <br />with a focus on natural resource contexts.
