My experience locally with master planning projects has also allowed me to broaden my <br />experience in regards to the process. <br />Reasons for wanting to serve on this board: <br />My previous experience with municipal planning processes would be a strong asset. The planning process can be a tedious one <br />but one with significant impact. What I would hope to accomplish would be to more fully <br />understand the community and continue to help it grow. <br />What unique perspective can you bring to the Orange County Planning Board? <br />I grew up in Asheville, NC and have watched that area grow and change over time. I think that <br />Asheville has struggled with growth, however, continues to succeed. I think Orange County and <br />Hillsborough have a unique opportunity to grow in a very special way. The areas proximity to the <br />Triangle and it s agricultural background could really make it a unique community for not only <br />NC but the Southeast region. <br />What do you consider to be be the most important issues facing Orange County related <br />to growth? <br />46
