To: Orange County Clerk’s Office <br />From: Laurie Paolicelli <br />Date: February 21, 2018 <br />Re: Nomination Committee Report <br /> <br />The Chapel Hill/Orange County Visitors Bureau met today for its regular business <br />meeting. The nominating committee, consisting of Commissioner Penny Rich, Chair, <br />Anthony Carey, Vice Chair, Rosemary Waldorf, Mark Sherburne and Jeff Strickler <br />brought forth a nomination for Ms. Libbie Hough to hold the open At-Large seat on <br />the Visitors Bureau Board. The board voted unanimously to elect Libbie to the <br />board, pending the approval of the BOCC. <br />Ms. Hough is an Orange County resident and currently sits on the Tourism Board in <br />Hillsborough and the Alliance for Historic Hillsborough Board. <br />Her application is current with the Clerk’s office. <br />Libbie is a seasoned public relations marketing specialist and has served with both <br />Orange County Chambers of Commerce. <br />We are confident she will be a welcome addition to this board. <br /> <br />Thank you. <br /> <br />7
