Board of Commissioners - Discussion on BOCC Advisory Board Liaison <br />8 Reporting <br />9 <br />10 Chair Dorosin said this topic has come up in some petitions, and how the <br />11 Commissioners relate their service on these advisory boards to the rest of the BOCC. He said <br />12 the Board had encouraged each other to share updates by email, but this has been intermittent. <br />13 He said several Commissioners have made a renewed effort by email, and he appreciated this. <br />14 Commissioner Burroughs said email is helpful. She said some boards send the agenda <br />15 in advance and perhaps if all Commissioners could receive the agenda, review it, and note any <br />16 items of particular interest. <br />17 Commissioner Price said all internal boards have agendas and minutes posted on line. <br />18 Donna Baker suggested that the serving Commissioner could share agendas from inter - <br />19 governmental boards with the rest of the Board. <br />20 Commissioner Jacobs said it may be useful to have a place on the BOCC regular <br />21 agenda for the Board to give him direction, as relates to the GoTriangle Board. He said the <br />22 GoTriangle board recently discussed a LEAD Certified Rail Operations Maintenance Facility, <br />23 and he, and several other board members, felt that a LEAD certification is a waste of money. <br />24 He said there is a lot of chest expanding at GoTriangle about the importance and beauty of <br />25 what is being done, which does not add anything but make people feel more important. He said <br />26 it costs money. He said he would welcome the direction of the BOCC on how to proceed at <br />27 GoTriangle meetings, with these types of issues. He said he is often a lone voice with a <br />
