He said if this item comes back, it would be wise to have an information session prior <br />to taking any action. <br />Chair Dorosin said in an effort to be more collaborative about meetings he has <br />attended, he will be sending out an email with updates. He said the schools facilities work <br />group, which is meeting around the issue of school construction bids, met last week. He said <br />there are some interesting new questions to consider regarding timing, when the bonds get <br />drawn down, and how construction is paid for. He said he will share his notes with the BOCC. <br />He said bids for Chapel Hill High School are expected at the end of March. <br />Chair Dorosin said the Food Council met last night, and it plans to follow up, from the <br />Assembly of Governments (AOG) meeting, with smaller groups of elected officials. He said <br />there are some new ideas from the food economy work group about possible new ways that the <br />BOCC can be supportive. <br />Chair Dorosin said there are two housekeeping items: <br />Chair Dorosin asked if a Commissioner would volunteer for the North /South Bus Rapid <br />Transit (N /S BRT) Policy committee. <br />Commissioner Jacobs suggested adding this need to the list of boards that the Board <br />of County Commissioners will choose on February 15th <br />The BOCC agreed by consensus. <br />Chair Dorosin said there is a lavender sheet at the Commissioners' places with a list of <br />all the applicants for Go Triangle Community Advisory Committee. He asked if all BOCC <br />members would pick four people, and rank them as follows: 1st choice = 4 points, 2nd choice = <br />3 points, 3rd choice = 2 points, and 4th choice 1 point. He said staff will tally the points, and the <br />top four point getters will be put forth during the appointments portion of the meeting later this <br />evening. <br />Commissioner Rich said Orange County has 7 appointed individuals: 4 nominated by <br />the BOCC, and 3 that GoTriangle picks. She said to put forth the top 4 vote getters as the <br />BOCC recommendation, but also provide GoTriangle with the names of the next three vote <br />getters, as well. <br />4.
