She said the Commissioners will choose their <br />boards that evening. She said there is a budget agenda item regarding liaisons to report to the <br />full board and parks timetable and funding. She said this meeting will occur at the Southern <br />Human Services Center. <br />10. County Attorney's Report <br />John Roberts said, today, the Supreme Court partially allowed the special masters maps <br />to go forward, and partially granted a stay for the legislative Republicans who had asked for <br />that stay. He said one can see the actual map that is going to go forward, if one searches for it <br />on Google. <br />Chair Dorosin asked if there will be a new map for this year. <br />John Roberts said yes, for 2018 elections. He said, for now, some of it will be what the <br />Republicans in the legislature want, and some of it will be drawn as the special master drew <br />those maps. <br />11. *Appointments <br />a. Go Triangle Transit Community Advisory Committee — Recommendations <br />The Board considered making four (4) recommendations for appointment to the <br />GoTriangle Transit Citizen Advisory Committee and to select one (1) liaison from the 7 BOCC <br />members. <br />* ** *Lavender sheet - applicants for Go Triangle Citizens Advisory Committee — 4 <br />nominations <br />Your first choice = 4 pts, 2nd choice -3 pts, 3'd choice — 2 pts and 4th choice 1 pt- staff will <br />tally. <br />The GoTriangle Board of Trustees will appoint 30 people to the committee, with fourteen (14) <br />from Wake County, nine (9) from Durham County and seven (7) from Orange County. The <br />Orange County Board of Commissioners will recommend four (4) applicants to Go <br />Triangle and Go Triangle will select the three (3) additional members for a total of seven (7). <br />The BOCC will select one (1) liaison to represent Orange County. <br />The committee will meet six times a year. Members will be allowed to serve two two -year terms. <br />The Board agreed by consensus (highest two voting totals) to appoint the following two <br />applicants to the Go Triangle Transit Community Advisory Committee: <br />• Recommendation for appointment to a full term (Position #1- John Rees) "At -Large <br />Orange County Resident' for (To Be Determined) expiring (To Be Determined). <br />• Recommendation for appointment to a full term (Position #2- Tom Farmer) "At -Large <br />Orange County Resident' for (To Be Determined) expiring (To Be Determined). <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Price, seconded by Commissioner McKee to <br />appoint the following to the Go Triangle Citizens Advisory Committee: <br />• Recommendation for appointment to a full term (Position #3- Jayse Sessi) "At -Large <br />Orange County Resident' for (To Be Determined) expiring (To Be Determined). <br />
