About the 'Town of Carrboro <br />Carrboro, NC, is a diverse and vibrant town located in southern Orange County, with a resident <br />population of about 21,000. Carrboro's collaboration with Orange County and Chapel Hill to participate <br />in SolSmart is a continuation of the Town's long history and deep commitment to environmental <br />protection and stewardship. Other renewable energy examples include supporting the Solarize Carrboro <br />campaign, which provided a foundation for other Solarize campaigns in North Carolina, and hosting a <br />community solar project at the Town Commons.
