<br />Chairman Hobbs reported on the progress being mods in the construction oT the road located is
<br />Chnnal Hill Tormship, running 17om the North Cnroliaa Llemorial Hospital to D. S. 15-501 (Hy-Pase),
<br />tlr. Don i:athe son introduced Eiiss Tronbridge as Orange County~s pen Homa Demonstration Agent. LSr.
<br />?Satheson also gave a report w the 1956 farm census, L(r. Rd Barnes, Aast. Farm Agent, reported on
<br />the beef eslf sele held at the livestock m¢rked 1¢ Hillsboro.

<br />Chairman Hobbs reed letters from Jesse C, Riley end J, J. Glossop requesting reductions Sn
<br />thsir 195b tax assessments, The Board agreed to inspect tFsir respective properties.
<br />Ira A. k'ard of Hillsboro presented a roed petition for a rued lce¢ted in the subdivision

<br />Ii:r. Tam Rose, Toren Nansger of Chanel Hill, discussed t..*.e problem of the fire district with
<br />the board,
<br />Mra, Jane Parker, Superintendent of welfare, presented a blind aid grant for Cnriie F.. Brown,

<br />requested thet abatement be made on texea collected for 1956 on e p¢rtially completed house in
<br />Chapel Hilh
<br />Upon motion of Cosmissioner Lanier, aecorrled by Coranission°r Asy e:rl unanimously passed, it
<br />eras ordered that the 1956 tax asse ssrr?nt on the property of Hermsn Lloyd, located et f/B9 Chriatooher
<br />Road in Chanel Hill, be reduced by 50,E oT the total tax assessment, as Efr, Lloyd certifies thet
<br />the horse was only one-helf coanle ted at the time it ran assessed.
<br />Upon motion of Ccsuaissianer Ianlers seconded by Commissioner Rsy, ar3 unanimously oa ssed,
<br />Chairman Hobbs Tres authorized to confer xrith h!r, Hill Murdock, Solicitor: and discourage esy
<br />compromise in the Peggy LicNair case. The Chairman Ss urged to insist thet full restoration of
<br />th_ monies du= the County be obtained from the Deferrlnnt end returned to the ?7e ]Sara Department.

<br />the resignation of idrs. Jere Perker.
