Potential solar sites at Eubanks Road Landfill <br />One technical approach that appears to be suitable for the Eubanks site consists of flexible <br />solar panels bonded to a TPO (Thermal PolyOlefin) cover sheet. The largest example to <br />date appears to be the Hickory Ridge Landfill near Atlanta, Georgia. There is an excellent <br />summary of this project on Wikipedia under "Hickory Ridge Landfill ". The wiki project <br />summary indicates that the $7M project was primarily privately funded, but did receive <br />grant support to cover about 28% of the cost. Figure 2 shows the solar array in place on the <br />landfill site. <br />
