List of project goals and objectives <br />Goal: Produce a tri- county conservation plan to identify and protect high - priority landscape corridors <br />that connect a network of protected, biodiverse sites within the Jordan Lake watershed and the inter - <br />basin area between the Neuse and Cape Fear Rivers. <br />Objectives: <br />• A plan that drives conservation efforts on a landscape scale that is relevant and appropriate for <br />the long -term persistence of native species and ecosystem services <br />• A plan that utilizes previous work (existing data, tools, and knowledge) for implementing <br />landscape conservation <br />• A plan that presents a prioritized package of locations in which to take action and identifies the <br />appropriate partners to focus on each location <br />• A plan with elements that can be adopted and implemented by local governments and land <br />trusts <br />List of any project partners and their roles (what they will do) <br />Orange County— Administer PGG grant funds. Provide Steering Committee representative who <br />will help guide the work of the Policy subcommittee. Provide Orange County GIS data and land - <br />use policy /ordinance information. <br />Durham County— Provide Steering Committee representative. Provide Durham County GIS data <br />and land -use policy /ordinance information. <br />Duke University— Provide Steering Committee representative who will help guide the work of <br />the Technical subcommittee. <br />Chatham Conservation Partnership — Provide Steering Committee representative; share <br />findings and recommendations from the Chatham County Comprehensive Conservation Plan, <br />including Chatham County GIS data and land -use policy /ordinance information. <br />Wildlands Network — Provide Steering Committee (and subcommittee) representative; share <br />findings from Wildlands Network research on wildlife corridors and road crossings. <br />Triangle Land Conservancy— Provide Steering Committee (and subcommittee) representative. <br />Eno River Association — Provide Steering Committee (and subcommittee) representative <br />Southern Conservation Partners — Provide Steering Committee representative. <br />New Hope Creek Corridor Advisory Committee — Provide Steering Committee (and <br />subcommittee) representative <br />North Carolina Botanical Garden — Provide Steering Committee representative and meeting <br />space <br />
