Call to Order <br />7:32 II. Additions or Changes to Agenda <br />7:35 III. Approval of Minutes — April 11, 2016 <br />The CFE will consider approval of minutes from the last two meetings. (Attachment 1) <br />7:45 IV. Regional Conservation Planning <br />Shaw will provide an overview of his ongoing work with various land conservation organizations <br />to develop a plan for the protection of key landscape corridors that connect significant natural <br />areas and open space in Orange, Durham, and Chatham counties. (Attachments 2 -3) <br />8:15 V. CFE Outreach Opportunities <br />Staff will review recent CFE outreach efforts (Earth Evening, news articles) and a revised list of <br />outreach opportunities for 2016 —each intended to educate /inform the public about issues <br />highlighted in the State of the Environment. CFE members will provide guidance on the use of <br />social media and using summaries of peer- reviewed articles on various topics (Attachments 4 -5) <br />8:45 VI. Committee Meetings (optional and as time allows) <br />The standing committees will review their list of priorities and next steps. (Attachment 6) <br />9:15 VII. Updates and Information Items <br />Staff and /or CFE members will provide updates on the following items: <br />➢ Eno River hydrilla pilot study update - year two underway (Attachment 7) <br />➢ Aquatic weed control clarification bill - HB 965 (Attachment 8) <br />➢ Hollow Rock Nature Park opening May 21 (Attachment 9) <br />➢ Clean Power Plan update (Attachment 10) <br />➢ Renewable energy investments in NC for 2015 (Attachment 11) <br />➢ Duke Energy ranks in top 3 for solar connections (Attachment 12) <br />➢ Durham NET Power breaks ground on zero - emissions plant (Attachment 13) <br />➢ Climate change: "the science is there; this is doable" (Attachment 14) <br />➢ Mason Farm wetlands (Attachment 15) <br />➢ State to remove SolarBees from Jordan Lake (Attachment 16) <br />➢ Any other new information from CFE members and staff <br />9:30 VIII.
