it r a r) urn e 0 J' ,J: ]"11 1� ,�y" <br />RESOLUTION of APPRECIATION <br />for <br />JAN SASSAMAN <br />WHEREAS, Jan Sassaman served as a member of the Orange County <br />Commission for the Environment since January 2012; and <br />WHEREAS, Jan Sassaman has contributed to the discussions and initiatives <br />of the Commission during that timeframe with his thoughtful and insightful <br />points and vision, as well as serving his final two years as Chair; and <br />WHEREAS, Jan Sassaman's expertise and advice, especially in the areas of <br />solid and hazardous waste management and risk assessment, were critical to <br />the Commission's work and recommendations as embodied in the 2014 State <br />of the Environment report and many other reports to the Orange County <br />Board of Commissioners, and his influence will continue to be seen in future <br />such reports and initiatives; and <br />WHEREAS, Jan Sassaman exemplifies the commitment of Orange County <br />citizens toward issues regarding the environment and the protection of our <br />natural resources by his willingness to devote time to the efforts of this <br />commission, in addition to his other work in environmental protection: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Commission for the <br />Environment thanks Jan Sassaman for his five years of service on the <br />Commission, invites him to continue to offer thoughts to the group in the <br />future as he desires, and wishes him well in his future endeavors. <br />This, the 8th day of February, 2016. <br />Lydia Wegman, Chair <br />Orange County Commission for the Environment <br />
