ORANGE COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENT, AGRICULTURE, <br />PARKS AND RECREATION <br />MEMORANDUM <br />To: <br />Commission for the Environment <br />From: <br />Rich Shaw <br />Date: <br />November 3, 2015 <br />Subject: <br />Election of Officers <br />The Commission for the Environment is scheduled to hold its annual election of officers <br />(Chair and Vice Chair) as specified in the CFE policies and procedures. <br />Section III of the procedures is provided below for your information and guidance: <br />SECTION III: MEMBERSHIP <br />A. Authority ... <br />B. Composition <br />C. Officers <br />1. The elected officers of the Commission for the Environment shall consist of a Chair <br />and a Vice Chair. <br />D. Election Procedures and Terms of Office <br />1. The Officers shall be elected by the Commission for the Environment from among its <br />members at the regular meeting in November of each year. They shall take office at <br />the following regular meeting. <br />2. The candidate for each office receiving a majority vote of the Commission for the <br />Environment members present shall be declared elected. <br />3. The officers shall be elected for a term of one year. They shall be eligible to succeed <br />themselves for not more than three consecutive terms. <br />4. Appointment to serve for any actual period of one (1) year or more will constitute a <br />full term.
