Adjourn <br />Comprehensive Plan Housing Goals <br />Housing Overarching Goal: Opportunity for all citizens of Orange County to rent or purchase <br />safe, decent, accessible, and affordable housing. <br />Housing Goal l: A wide range of types and densities of quality housing affordable to all in all <br />parts of the County. <br />Housing Goal 2: Housing that is useable by as many people as possible regardless of age, <br />ability or circumstance. <br />Housing Goal 3: The preservation, repair, and replacement of existing housing supply. <br />Housing Goal 4: Development ordinances and incentives that promote inclusionary practices <br />and housing options for all income levels. <br />FY 2010 — 2011 Workplan <br />I. Develop recommendation for unallocated Affordable Housing Bond Funds <br />• Disaster relief (perhaps for mobile homes) <br />• Permanent housing for the homeless <br />• Repairs for Club Nova Apartments in Chapel Hill. <br />2. Mobile Home Standards <br />3. Seek assistance from UNC- Chapel Hill School of Journalism regarding developing a <br />community -wide media campaign that would keep the need for affordable housing in the <br />community conversation for the County and the Towns of Chapel Hill, Hillsborough and <br />Carrboro. (Anna MacDonald Dobbs will contact the School of Journalism). <br />
