Affordable Housing Advisory Board <br />Minutes of March 13, 2012 <br />Members Present: Lynda Baker, Patsy Barbee, Nannie Richmond, Arthur Sprinczeles <br />Members Absent: Jonzella Bailey- Pridham, Alex Babbit, Diane Beecham, Katherine Doom, <br />Martha Hoylman, Anna McDonald Dobbs, Rashii Purefoy and James Stroud <br />Staff Present: Tara L. Fikes, Roxanne W. Reynolds <br />Welcome /Introduction <br />Co- Chair Linda Baker welcomed everyone to the meeting. <br />Public Comments <br />None <br />Approval of Minutes - February 14, 2012 <br />The Advisory Board was unable to approve the minutes of February 14, 2012 due to the lack of a <br />quorum. <br />Outside Agency Funding Application Review <br />The Affordable Housing Advisory Board discussed and completed the FY 12 -13 Outside Agency <br />Funding Applications /Scorecard for the following organizations: Habitat for Humanity, Inc., <br />Community Home Trust, EmPOWERment, Housing for New Hope, and Rebuilding Together of <br />the Triangle. <br />Department Report <br />The following items were reported: <br />• Tara Fikes reported that the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) has approved a <br />policy to govern Orange County advisory boards. Fikes distributed and briefly discussed <br />the policy with board members present. This information is incorporated as an attachment <br />to the minutes. <br />• A draft copy of the Affordable Housing Advisory Board Policies and Procedures were <br />also distributed and reviewed by the Board members. Fikes stated that this document <br />would replace the bylaws. Board members were asked to consider the goals and <br />objectives to be included and send her their input. The draft Policies and Procedures are <br />attached to these minutes. <br />Other Business <br />None <br />Arthur Sprinczeles made a motion to adjourn the meeting and Nannie Richmond seconded the <br />motion.
