Towns must authorize County to charge SW Program Fee <br />• Kleinschmidt states that CH Council needs to approve recommendation, CH Council will then <br />direct Town Manager to include authorization in the budget ordinance <br />• The County fee authorization may be renewed each year unless another procedure is developed <br />Jacobs requests a study from the School of Government concerning the equity of county tax distribution <br />benefits <br />o Ward requests that all Towns are included in the creation of the study <br />• Kleinschmidt suggests on -going analysis and data collection of recycling services <br />o Jacobs suggests adding a strategy for measuring the different solid waste services and to track <br />them over time for the staff priority short /mid -term list <br />Towns and County Staff Priority Solid Waste Issue Report <br />• "Local Waste Disposal Facility' is clarified as Transfer Station /Landfill <br />o SWAG agrees that future discussions should include the option of siting a local landfill <br />• Include "Community Impacts of Facility Siting, Programs, Policies /Ordinances" under "4. Consider <br />Development of Local Waste Disposal Facility' <br />
