Clay moved to approve, Roger <br />seconded. <br />NCASCP Contracts: <br />✓ Tom Wilson: 32.126 acres Long Term No Till (Jordan Lake Funds) and <br />.62 acres waterways (Impaired /Impacted Funds) totaling $6,517.00. <br />Roger moved to approve, Clay seconded. <br />✓ Kathleen Smith of Root Down Farm: New Pond totaling $27,000. <br />(New Farmer /AgWrap Funds). Roger moved to approve, Clay seconded. <br />✓ David Walker: New Pond totaling $22,500. (AgWrap Funds) Roger <br />moved to approve, Clay seconded. <br />✓ Cedar Grove Farm (Kathy Shambley) - Discussion /Decision Item: <br />The Board approved this contract in April, 2014. Contract total is $8,987 <br />for trail, water tank/heavy use area and concrete pipe repair /replacement. <br />Ms. Shambley has sold all the milking cattle at this time; there are 100+ <br />bred heifers on the farm. She has provided, for the Board, a written <br />statement that indicates that she intends to continue to have cattle (either <br />dairy or beef) on the farm. She requests that the Board continue with the <br />contract for the BMP's that had previously been planned and approved. <br />After some discussion, Morris moved to approve and move forward with <br />Ms. Shambley's contract; Clay seconded. <br />Supplement <br />Randy Lloyd Update: At the July, 2013 Commission Meeting, an extension was <br />granted to Mr. Lloyd for waste closure. Due to wet weather conditions, discussion <br />will be forthcoming requesting possible supplement to the contract. Mr. Lloyd is <br />currently working on closure. <br />Community Conservation Assistance Program (CLAP) New Applications /Contracts <br />Gail submitted the following CCAP New Application: <br />❖ 68 -14 -502 — Orange County Schools — (Recently combined into one contract <br />instead of two) Orange High: Rain Garden ($924) and critical area seeding <br />($473). Efland Cheeks School: Critical Area Seeding ($852). Morris moved to <br />approve, Roger seconded. <br />
