ORANGE COUNTY HOUSING AUTHORITY BOARD <br /> Minutes <br /> September 21,2016, 6:00 PM <br /> Southern Human Services Center, Conference Room D <br /> 2501 Homestead Road, Chapel Hill, NC 27514 <br /> i <br /> Members Present: Jean Bolduc, Chair; Diane Beecham, Vice Chair; Mark Marcoplos, Tammy Jacobs, <br /> Gina James <br /> Excused Absence: Daniel Bullock, Evelyn Johann <br /> Unexcused Absence: None <br /> Staff Present: Audrey Spencer-Horsley, Director/Secretary, and Angela Rockett, Administrative <br /> Assistant, Alicia Jones, Housing Programs Manager <br /> Welcome/Introduction <br /> The Chair, Jean Bolduc, called the meeting to order at 6:11 pm. <br /> Approval of Minutes <br /> Gina James made a motion to approve the minutes of Wednesday, August 17, 2016 and Diane Beecham <br /> seconded the motion and the minutes were approved unanimously. <br /> Department Report/County Report <br /> Jean Bolduc shared with the Board that she really enjoyed the AHAB tour on Saturday, September 10"' <br /> and Tammy Jacobs agreed and that it was very well done and informative. Ms. Spencer-Horsley <br /> thanked the Board members that attended (Ms. Evelyn Johann and Mr. Daniel Bullock also attended). <br /> She stated the Board members on the tour added to the dialog and great group dynamics. Ms. Spencer- <br /> Horsley announced that there will be a second tour possibly on a weekday in October or sometime <br /> before spring for other Commissioners unable to attend this recent tour. <br /> Ms. Spencer-Horsley also reminded the Board that the Annual Report for the Board of Orange County <br /> Commissioners (BOCC) will be due in December. There were discussions on combining the <br /> November/December Board meeting. It was agreed to cancel the December 21, 2016 meeting and <br /> combine the two meetings on November 16, 2016. Mr. Marl-,Marcoplos said that meeting will be his <br /> last OCHA Board meeting as he will be sworn in to serve on the BOCC in December. <br /> Ms. Spencer-Horsley said the updated Administrative Plan is being prepared by Ms. Alicia Jones and <br /> will be presented by Plan chapters. An overview and the first sections will be reviewed at the <br /> November meeting. Ms. Spencer-Horsley informed the Board that resolutions need to be approved for <br /> Board actions at each meeting and a template will be developed.
