Audrey Spencer - Horsley, Director of the Orange County Department of Housing, Human Rights <br />and Community Development, provided a presentation on the County's Affordable Housing <br />Plan. Ms. Spencer - Horsley provided an overview of the Plan, which includes acquisition and <br />building property which the County will rent to low- income residents. The Plan also includes <br />remedies or methods to address barriers to housing because of discrimination. Ms. Spencer - <br />Horsley requested the Human Relations Commission to assist the Department in addressing these <br />barriers by providing outreach and education in the community on the topic of Fair Housing. <br />The Plan will be presented at the BOCC Work Session on May 10, 2016.
