Ms. <br />Podger shared with the members that she is retired from the Duke University Health <br />System where she was a part of a team that developed system wide diversity training and <br />that she is quite passionate about Human Relations. <br />III. Transition <br />Audrey Spencer - Horsley informed the HRC that the County Manager ask that one of the <br />county attorneys assist with the cases instead of retaining James Davis. Ms. Spencer - <br />Horsley, Alicia Jones and Pam Reynolds will provide support to the HRC until such time <br />as the Civil Rights Specialist position is filled. <br />IV. Election of Officers <br />Nominations for the 2016 -2017 officers were opened by Audrey Spencer - Horsley, <br />Director. Monica Richard nominated herself for the position of Chair. Her nomination <br />was unanimously approved. At this time, Ms. Richard took over the election of officers <br />as Chair of the HRC for 2016 -2017. Rollin Russell nominated Susie Enoch for the <br />position of Vice Chair and this nomination was unanimously approved. Susie Enoch <br />nominated Rollin Russell as Secretary and this nomination was also unanimously <br />approved.
