IV. County Updates <br />A. Audrey Spencer - Horsley informed the commission that there presentation on the <br />Accessible Icon Project is scheduled to go before the BOCC on November 1, 2016. <br />Rollin Russell and /or Monica Richard will make the presentation. <br />B. Audrey Spencer - Horsley explained to the HRC that staff is to be their first line of <br />contact when they need press releases or items to go before the BOCC. She also <br />announced that the new Director of Community Relations, Todd McGee, is now on staff. <br />V. Subcommittee Updates <br />A. Diversity Matters: As previously announced the book, "No god but God" is the <br />chosen book for the Community Read which is held in March. The planning for <br />this event is going well. <br />B. Human Relations Forum — January 29, 2017 will explore "Religious Freedom, <br />Pluralism and Islamophobia ". The planning for this event is also moving forward. <br />C. Community Relations <br />Joyce Preslar asked for volunteers for the Community Relations subcommittee to <br />help her come up with ideas and also help with the logistics of these projects.
