No changes. <br />Action Item: Vote taken; minutes approved unanimously. <br />Discussion Point: Director's Report <br />Decision /Vote(s): No cuts to the NC Arts Council's FY15 Grassroots Program budget are anticipated in <br />the short legislative session. Special event exemption was approved by the BOCC for some arts projects by <br />nonprofit organizations, such as the Orange County Artists Guild's annual open studio tour. FY15 county <br />budget meetings are in progress. No further changes to the OCAC's budget in the Interim Manager's <br />recommended FY15 budget are expected. Volunteer applicant Malena Smither has decided not to seek <br />appointment. We are still seeking applicants for the OCAC board. The OCAC board does not meet in July. <br />Action Item: None <br />Discussion Point: CHOCVB Liaison, Ad Hoc Committee Updates <br />Decision /Vote(s): No updates at this time. <br />Action Item: None <br />Discussion Point: OCAC Board Mini - Retreat -June 29, 2014 (1:30 -4 pm) <br />Decision /Vote(s): OCAC board mini - retreat will be at the home of board member Brian Finch in Cedar <br />Grove. Special guest Karen Wells (Director, ARTS North Carolina) will lead a discussion on arts advocacy. <br />Action Item: Brian Finch will email directions to his home to staff for distribution to board members. <br />Discussion Point: CLOSED Session — Spring 2014 Grant Evaluation <br />Decision /Vote(s): Twenty -six (26) Spring 2014 grant applications were reviewed by the full board. <br />Action Item: $1,750 in county funds (to artists) and $30,951 in state funds were awarded in this cycle. <br />Meeting adjourned at 9:00 PM <br />
