Committee Review and Approval of Visit Reports <br />Carillion Assisted Living of Hillsborough (September 29, 2015), and the Villines Rest <br />Home (September 29, 2015). Committee members making the visits: Suzanne Haff and <br />Deborah Stewart. After a brief discussion, the committee unanimously approved both <br />reports unanimously. <br />• The Stratford (September 25, 2015) and Crescent Green of Carrboro (September 25, <br />2015). Committee members making the Visits: Beverly Foster and Max Mason.. <br />Following discussion by the committee, both reports were unanimously <br />• Brookdale Meadowmont (November 12, 2015) and Carol Woods, Buildings 5, 6, and 7 <br />(November 12, 2015). Committee members making the visits (Yvonne Mendenhall and <br />Jack Vogt). After a brief discussion, the Committee unanimously approved these reports. <br />Discussion of Department of Again Program to Expand/Improve Volunteer Involvement in <br />Nursing and Assisted Living Facilities and Homes in County: <br />Yvette Missri, who is coordinating this new program, joined the committee meeting and <br />reported on the program. A brief discussion ensued. Suzanne I: aff will be the <br />Committee's point of contact to work with Yvette. Committee members recommended <br />that the program include volunteer participation in activities for residents and also <br />volunteers who visit residents one -on -one, , that college and high school students be <br />among the volunteers, that Yvette coordinate with the activities directors in the facilities <br />and homes in which the program is implemented, and that initial efforts for the program in <br />assisted living facilities be focused on The Stratford or Carillion. <br />County Commissioner Work Session, February 9 <br />The Orange County Commissioners will hold a work session on Tuesday evening, <br />February 9, 7:00 p. m. Max Mason attended a similar Commissioners' work session a <br />year ago, but he is unable to attend this one coming up. He said the Committee should be <br />represented. James Bartow and Gloria Brown agreed to represent the Committee at the <br />work session <br />Adiounment <br />Upon completion of its business, the Committee voted to adjourn at 5:30 p. m. <br />Respectfully submitted <br />Jack Vogt <br />
