<br /> <br /> 2 <br />The Soccer Showcase is over. DEAPR was the “mid-west regional” host, it seems, <br />with many teams from that part of the country at Soccer.com. Lots of revenue was <br />generated for the county with hotel reservations and eating out and etc. <br />Hillsborough Youth Association’s Collins fields may be closed down sooner than <br />expected due to other Town of Hillsborough development projects. DEAPR may <br />need to work with them to find some t-ball fields. <br /> <br />VII. Council and Committee Reports – <br />a. Intergovernmental Parks Work Group-no update. Next meeting is in February. <br />b. Items from the Council-McDade Khan spoke about Cedar Grove. There is a <br />tremendous amount of activity going on. Food was sold at the Puppet Parade for a <br />fundraiser. There was a Thanksgiving Dinner and a Christmas dinner is coming up <br />as well as a teen dance and an angel tree for youth Christmas gifts. Stancil says <br />there is continued discussion about the Community Center Coordinator. <br />c. Friends of Orange County Parks and Recreation (FOPR)-Green is waiting for $400 <br />to pay for the 401C3 status. A viable plan for raising this money has not been <br />developed. <br /> <br />IV.
