Creation of the “Headwaters Nature Preserve”: The BOCC approved the creation of a <br />nature preserve, “Headwaters Nature Preserve.” This is a 60 -acre preserve north of <br />Chapel Hill. The BOCC in creating the nature preserve asked DEAPR to come up with a <br />plan and timetable for this area. <br />b. Mountains to Sea Trail (MST) Update: Next community meeting will be December 8. <br />c. Other Updates <br /> <br />VII. Council and Committee Reports <br />a. Intergovernmental Parks Work Group (October 12): no time to report due to library <br />closing time. <br />b. Items from the Council: no time to report. <br />c.
