Call to Order: Introductions. (The meeting took place after a tour of the County Parks in <br />the southern half of the county. <br /> <br />II. Additions or Changes to Agenda, Meeting Summary: No changes to the agenda. No <br />changes to the summary of August. <br />III. Report of the Chair: <br />a. Membership update: Several new members just appointed the night before. <br />Discussion took place about the opening for Bingham Township. Robinson <br />nominated Tim Tippin, McDade Khan seconded the motion. All voted in favor. <br /> <br />IV. New Business <br />a. Annual Parks Update by Dan Derby delayed due to family illness. <br />b. Lands Legacy Action Plan 2018-2021 (Kim Livingston) Livingston presented the <br />group with information about the Lands Legacy program. She indicated that each <br />relevant advisory board is solicited for their thoughts for a new three-year action <br />plan with the program. Part of this plan involves asking the PRC their top priorities <br />for the next three years. The board discussion the existing plan and decided on the <br />following in this order: 1) Finish section 11 of the MST; 2) Acquire land for Seven <br />Mile Creek Nature Park; 3) Acquire land for a Bingham Township Park. <br /> <br />V. Old Business <br />a. Mountains to Sea Trail (MST) Update on the September 19 BOCC report: Stancil <br />presented an update to the BOCC about work to this point on the Segment 11 <br />section of the MST. The BOCC agreed and is interested in connecting with an <br />existing section, as opposed to developing a section that does not connect existing <br />sections. There was a group who wanted to have a separate trail that would be multi- <br />modal from Hillsborough to Chapel Hill/Carrboro. This idea will be studied further. <br />b. Review of PRC Priorities for FY 2017-18. Stancil noted an update of priorities <br />developed for the group for the next year. Massai agreed to attend the multi-modal <br />trail meetings. Daniel asked if the County had ever thought of having a passport <br />program where participants get their passport stamped when they visit a park. <br /> <br />VI. Report of the Director <br />a.
