Aluminum Extrusions: ASTM B 221 (ASTM B 221M), alloy and temper recommended by <br />manufacturer for type of use and finish indicated, finished as follows: <br />1. High - Performance Organic Finish: AA- C12C42R1x (Chemical Finish: cleaned with <br />inhibited chemicals; Chemical Finish: acid - chromate- fluoride - phosphate conversion <br />coating; Organic Coating: as specified below). Prepare, pretreat, and apply coating to <br />exposed metal surfaces to comply with coating and resin manufacturers' written <br />instructions. <br />a. Fluoropolymer 2 -Coat System: Manufacturer's standard 2 -coat, thermocured <br />system consisting of specially formulated inhibitive primer and fluoropolymer <br />color topcoat containing not less than 70 percent polyvinylidene fluoride resin by <br />weight; complying with AAMA 2605. <br />2.3 CONCEALED METALS <br />A. Aluminum Sheet: ASTM B 209 (ASTM B 209M), alloy and temper recommended by <br />manufacturer for use and structural performance indicated, mill finished. <br />B. Aluminum Extrusions: ASTM B 221 (ASTM B 221M), alloy and temper recommended by <br />manufacturer for type of use and structural performance indicated, mill finished. <br />C. Stainless -Steel Sheet: ASTM A 240/A 240M, Type 304. <br />D. Zinc - Coated (Galvanized) Steel Sheet: ASTM A 653/A 653M, G90 (Z275) coating <br />designation; structural quality. <br />2.4 MISCELLANEOUS MATERIALS <br />A. General: Provide materials and types of fasteners, protective coatings, separators, sealants, and <br />other miscellaneous items required by manufacturer for a complete installation. <br />B. Fasteners: Manufacturer's recommended fasteners, suitable for application and designed to <br />withstand design loads. <br />1. Exposed Penetrating Fasteners: Gasketed screws with hex washer heads matching color <br />of sheet metal. <br />C. Elastomeric Sealant: ASTM C 920, elastomeric polymer sealant; of type, grade, class, and use <br />classifications required to seal joints in sheet metal flashing and trim and remain watertight. <br />D. Bituminous Coating: Cold- applied asphalt mastic, SSPC -Paint 12, compounded for 15 -mil <br />(0.4 -mm) dry film thickness per coat.
