AISI Specifications: Comply with calculated structural characteristics of steel deck according <br />to AISI's "North American Specification for the Design of Cold- Formed Steel Structural <br />Members." <br />F. FMG Listing: Provide steel roof deck evaluated by FMG and listed in its "Approval Guide, <br />Building Materials" for Class 1 fire rating and Class 1 -90 windstorm ratings. <br />G. Welding Inspection: All decking welds shall be inspected by the Architect prior to covering. <br />Notify the Architect in writing forty-eight (48) hours prior to completing welds for each major <br />area. <br />1.5 SUBMITTALS <br />A. Shop and Erection Drawings shall be submitted for all metal decking to the Architect for <br />approval. Drawings shall indicate layout, types of specified materials and accessories, gauges <br />to be supplied, anchorage details, all conditions requiring closure panels, supplementary <br />framing, sump pans, cant strips, cut openings, special jointing or other accessories. Drawings <br />shall include layout for all shear studs to be applied through deck units. Manufacture or <br />fabricating of any materials or the performing of any work prior to the approval of shop <br />drawings will be entirely at the risk of the Contractor. <br />B. Product Data: For each type of deck, accessory, and product indicated <br />C. The Contractor shall submit the manufacturer's specifications, load tables, and installation <br />instructions for each type specified. <br />D. Welding certificates. <br />E. Field quality - control test and inspection reports. <br />1.6 DELIVERY, STORAGE AND HANDLING <br />A. Steel deck units shall be protected against damage in transit to the jobsite. <br />B. If site storage is necessary, steel deck units shall be stacked on wood blocking clear of the <br />ground and tilted slightly to insure against the entrapment of water. <br />C. The steel deck units shall be hoisted to each individual floor as required and rough spread. <br />PART2- PRODUCTS <br />2.1 ROOF DECK <br />A. Roof Deck: Fabricate panels, without top -flange stiffening grooves, to comply with "SDI <br />Specifications and Commentary for Steel Roof Deck," in SDI Publication No. 30, and with the <br />following: <br />STEEL DECK 053100-2 <br />
