Architect's Consultants: The Architect has retained the following design professionals who <br />have prepared designated portions of the Contract Documents: <br />1. Structural Engineer: LHC Structural Engineers; PO Box 10567, Raleigh, North Carolina <br />27605 -0567. <br />2. Plumbing, HVAC and Electrical Engineers: RNM Consulting Engineers, Inc.; 94 Main <br />Street, Canton, North Carolina 28716 <br />1.4 WORK COVERED BY CONTRACT DOCUMENTS <br />A. The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following: <br />1. The Work consists of a 1480 square foot addition to the Jerry M. Passmore Center. <br />2. Work will provide assembly space and a new entrance for the existing senior center and <br />will consist of an addition and moderate renovation, including the following: <br />a. Exterior envelope including concrete siding and wall panels, aluminum storefront <br />windows, automatic sliding glass doors, membrane roofing. <br />b. new partitions, ceilings, finishes, wood - veneer -faced cabinets, window treatments, <br />and associated plumbing, HVAC, and electrical work. <br />3. Site Work will consist of modification of the existing Sportsplex entry plaza to provide <br />new pavement, sidewalks and landscaping. <br />B. Type of Contract: <br />Project will be constructed under a single prime contract. <br />1.5 WORK UNDER SEPARATE CONTRACTS <br />A. General: Cooperate fully with separate contractors so work on those contracts may be carried <br />out smoothly, without interfering with or delaying work under this Contract or other contracts. <br />Coordinate the Work of this Contract with work performed under separate contracts. <br />B. Concurrent Work: Owner may award separate contract(s) for the following construction <br />operations at Project site. If award is made, those operations will be conducted simultaneously <br />with work under this Contract. <br />Audio - Visual System: To contractor- to -be- determined for installation of an Audio - <br />Visual System for television production of the Board meetings. <br />2. Elevator Upgrade: To contractor- to -be- determined for the upgrade of the controls and <br />emergency- related features of Elevator #1 to meet current codes and ordinances. <br />1.6 OWNER - FURNISHED PRODUCTS <br />A. Owner will furnish products indicated. The Work includes receiving, unloading, handling, <br />storing, protecting, and installing Owner- furnished products. <br />SUMMARY 011000-2 <br />
