PASSMORE CENTER ADDITION AND RENOVATION <br />HILLSBOROUGH, NORTH CAROLINA <br />SUPPLEMENTARY GENERAL CONDITIONS <br />This section is intended to supplement and /or amend requirements of the GENERAL CONDITIONS <br />OF THE CONTRACT and where requirements of this section conflict with, or are at variance with, <br />those of the GENERAL CONDITIONS, they shall take precedence over and modify such <br />requirements to the extent of such conflict or variation. The unaltered provisions of the GENERAL <br />CONDITIONS shall remain in effect. Listed below are the supplements /amendments: <br />GENERAL CONDITIONS OF THE CONTRACT: <br />Article 1 - DEFINITIONS: <br />Replace Item 1.26 as follows: The Owner is Orange County, North Carolina. <br />Article 2 — CORRELATION, INTERPRETATION AND INTENT OF CONTRACT DOCUMENTS: <br />Add the following items: <br />"2.10. Site Visitation: The Contractor shall examine the site before bidding the project and shall <br />familiarize himself or herself with all existing conditions. Failure of the Contractor to visit <br />the site before submission of a bid shall not relieve him or her of any special problems which <br />might have been avoided had the Contractor examined the existing site conditions. <br />2.11 Contract Drawings: The contract drawings contain information to a degree of detail, which is <br />considered to be both consistent with their scales and adequate to accomplish their purpose. <br />Beyond this point, they are diagrammatic. The Contractor shall provide all miscellaneous <br />materials required to completely install the work in accordance with the intent of the <br />drawings and the specified functions. Any omissions from either the drawings or the <br />specifications are unintentional and it shall be the responsibility of the Contractor to call to <br />the attention of the Designer any pertinent omissions prior to submission of a bid. The <br />Contractor shall not scale any drawing to determine lengths and distances, and shall refer <br />only to indicated dimensions." <br />Article 6 — OTHER RECORD DOCUMENTS AND SUBMITTALS: <br />Add the following to Item 6.2 as follows: <br />The Contractor may utilize an electronic submittal process. The process to be used shall be <br />determined during the Pre - Construction Conference. <br />Article 9 — CONSTRUCTION MANAGER: <br />Delete this article in its entirety. <br />SUPPLEMENTARY GENERAL CONDITIONS SGC -1 <br />
