They are asking the Sheriff's for input with the legality side of the `rules' , <br />his support, and enforcement on said `rules'. They met with representative of the Sheriff's department and submitted <br />the information and they are waiting to hear back from the Sheriff's office. Going forward the group will concentrate <br />on the education of both sides. <br />Nancy Baker asked Jeff to bring a copy of the document to the OUTBoard. Jeff explained that they would be <br />approaching multiple jurisdictions in Orange County and the hope is that Orange County can be a leader in this area <br />of needed education between bicyclists and drivers. <br />Jeff Charles asked Darcy Zorio for an update on road resurfacing, paving the unpaved portion of Buckhorn Road and <br />also bridge construction on Arthur Minnis. <br />Darcy reviewed the resurfacing projects and indicated with will try to get specific dates for the projects. <br />AGENDA ITEM III: APPROVAL OF MINUTES FOR JANUARY 18, 2011 <br />The OUTBoard minutes from January 18, 2012 were approved by consensus. <br />AGENDA ITEM IV: UPDATE OF OUTBOARD POLICIES AND PROCEDURES <br />The County Attorney's office has asked the staff of each advisory board to update its <br />policies and procedures according to specific guidelines. These guidelines are included in <br />the packet as Attachment 2. Attachment 3 is the draft of OUTBoard Policies and <br />Procedures created by staff and submitted to the County Attorney. <br />OUTBoard Action: Receive guidelines from attorney new board policies <br />and procedures; provide feedback. <br />Darcy Zorio gave the OUTBoard background information on the countywide new policies and procedures and she <br />and the OUTBoard discussed the specifics of the policies and the role of the OUTBoard. The members asked about <br />the language referring to the Planning Board and specifically asked if the OUTBoard could review portions of the <br />UDO regarding parking and transportation. Staff consensus to the members was that if the OUTBoard wanted to <br />proceed with a project to make recommendations for changes to the UDO that they should come up with a process <br />
