On the second page, the second open bullet, instead of pursue future maintenance, to "work with the Town <br />of Hillsborough to prepare future maintenance agreements for sidewalks." For the second filled in bullet she <br />suggested requesting that "Orange County Planning staff and the staff of Orange County School Board include <br />sidewalks in the Cedar Ridge High School project construction plans ". For the third dark bullet she requested that is <br />be reworded to say "Request NCDOT evaluate areas along Orange Grove Road and adjacent roads in the vicinity <br />of the schools to identify possible immediate (within the next year) temporary and long term safety improvements, <br />including flashing lights, signage, striping, and the reduction of speed limits ". The rest of that bullet would read the <br />same. And finally she suggested adding a bullet that says, "Request NCDOT immediately address current safety <br />issues on the bridge resulting from noncompliant rail heights." <br />Motion by Alex Castro to endorse the Safe Routes to School Implementation Plan, with edits suggested by the <br />Chair and agreed to by all the OUTBoard members. Seconded by Art Menius. <br />Vote: Unanimous <br />AGENDA ITEM 413. BICYCLE SAFETY TASK FORCE (BSTF) FINAL DRAFT REPORT - (ABIGAILE PITTMAN) <br />Abigaile Pittman Presented <br />Abigaile Pittman suggested adding the future implementation infrastructure committee along with the implementation <br />task force on page 25. Ted Triebel suggested adding use of the median on page 25. Jenn Sykes suggested adding <br />locations, such as at Weaver Street Market in Hillsborough, for community outreach where large bicycling groups <br />meet on Saturdays and Sundays. Heidi Perry suggested just adding cycling events on page 57. Art Menius <br />suggested adding education. <br />Motion by Alex Castro to endorse Bicycle Safety Task Force (BSTF) final draft report, with suggested edits. <br />Seconded by Alyson West. <br />Vote: Unanimous <br />Motion by Art Menius to forward the report to the Orange County Board of County Commissioners. Seconded by <br />Alex Castro. <br />Vote: Unanimous <br />AGENDA ITEM 5: INFORMATIONAL ITEMS <br />5A. NCDOT DIVISION 7 TRANSPORTATION PROJECTS LOCATED IN THE DCHC MPO PLANNING AREA- (MAX BUSHELL) <br />The list of projects was handed out to the Board.
