Proposed Legal Advertisement <br />INFORMATION CONTACT: <br />Craig Benedict, 245-2592 <br />Gene Bell, 245-2589 <br />PURPOSE: To consider the legal advertisement for items to be presented at the Joint Planning <br />Area Public Hearing scheduled for October 19, 2006. <br />BACKGROUND: The Board of County Commissioners reviews proposals to be considered at <br />public hearing for consistency with general County policy and presentation format, The <br />following item is proposed for consideration at the October 19, 2006 Joint Planning Area Public <br />Hearing, <br />1. Chapel Hill Joint Planning Transition Area Zoning Atlas Amendment <br />PURPOSE: To hear public comment on a proposed rezoning of 21.5 acres of property at the <br />southwest corner of Homestead Road and Seawell School Road from Residential-2 to <br />Residential-4 Conditional. The rezoning request is to accommodate the construction of 72 <br />residential dwelling units. The site is located within the Chapel Hill portion of the Joint Planning <br />Transition Area. <br />Action: Zoning Atlas Amendment <br />From: Residential-2 <br />To: Residential-4 Conditional <br />Size: 21.5 acres <br />Location: Southwest corner of Homestead Road and Seawell School Road <br />Identification: Part of Chapel Hill Township, PIN #'s 9870-71-3194, 9870-70-1770, 9870- <br />61-8593,9870-61-8194 <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: Other than advertising costs, there are no direct financial impacts <br />associated with the approval of this item. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The Administration recommends APPROVAL of the proposed <br />October 19, 2006 Joint Planning Area Public Hearing legal advertisement.. <br />
