But in light of weather <br />conditions, this will be postponed to a later meeting. <br /> <br />ITEM #3: AP PROVAL OF MINUTES (April 27th): Grant noted two typo on page 2; Menius moved <br />to accept the minutes corrected as noted; seconded by Loter; motion passed. <br /> <br />ITEM #4: ITEMS FOR DECISION: None <br /> <br />ITEM #5: DISCUSSION ITEMS <br /> <br />a. Report back from Book Committee Meeting: <br />Staff provided brief overview of some of the points discussed by the committee at their <br />meeting on July 21. Discussion followed about how to structure the essay and how to <br />combine the Town and County together into the essay. Book committee members <br />provided clarification and corrections. The goal is to have the two combined in the essay, <br />then they will be separated out in the catalog section, where Hillsborough will have its own <br />discrete section in the catalog. In the essay, it will be possible to help explain how the <br />architectural evolution of the county was so vernacular, mostly log, versus the more stylish <br />architecture seen in Town. Staff will prepare a powerpoint or mockup of a section to show <br />potential funding sources. One model is the Greene County book which does a good job <br />of presenting a good history and catalog section. All agreed in general terms, that our <br />essay will combine the Town and County, then the catalog will treat each township <br />separately and the Town will have its own catalog section. W e should have an <br />introductory overview for each township and for the Town, and maps showing each area <br />being discussed in that catalog section. <br /> <br />b. Draft list of properties/examples proposed for inclusion: <br />Staff explained that he attempted to work on a list of properties with photos, but without <br />photoshop to reduce the file sizes, the file got too large, so this will take the form of a <br />PowerPoint instead.
