The board received the information and it was decided that the staff would review
and evaluate the materials and come back to the board to determine how to proceed.
Tethering CommitteeBob Marotto reported that there are currently two applications on file, no
appointments by the Board of County Commissioners have been made at this time. It was
determined that once we are close to having a complete committee, a quorum, up to six, the board
would revisit/reaccess and decide at what point to start to convene the committee.
New Animal Services FacilityBob Marotto reported that a recommendation goes to the next
Board of County Commissioners for the selection of the architectural and engineering team that
will provide services for the facility. The board will then act on that recommendation. Bob
Marotto has an initial individual meeting with the local architect to talk about some design
considerations and site visits to other shelters are scheduled. Information, profiles of
comparable facilities will be brought back to share with the design committee. If we adhere to the
timetable will commence in November.
Design CommitteeBob Marotto gave an update, some appointments have been made, we are still
waiting on staff appointments but things are moving along quickly.
