Approved ASAB Minutes  <br />November 28th, 2007  <br />Page 3  <br />Select Updates—Bob Marotto reported that Andrew Brinkley was selected as the new Animal Shelter  <br />Assistant Manage.  Mr. Brinkley most recently had been an Animal Control Officer and previously  <br />worked at the County’s Shelter.   He also provided an update on the County’s new Animal Services  <br />facility and the timetable for final approval, construction and completion.  He noted that recent cost  <br />estimates are higher than earlier ones, with the result that iterative value engineering is being done; and  <br />that outside experts as well as staff have been involved in the design process in various ways.  Finally,  <br />Mr. Marotto reported that an agreement for animal control services between the County and the Town of  <br />Hillsborough was on the December 3, 2007, BOCC meeting agenda.  <br />Motion was made by Jean Austin and seconded by Tracy Carroll to adjourn the meeting at 8:00 p.m.  <br />VOTE: Unanimous.  <br />Next ASAB Meeting: Wednesday, January 16, 2008, at 6:30 p.m. in the Southern Human Services  <br />Center Conference Room, 2501 Homestead Road, Chapel Hill.
