ASAB Approved Minutes— <br />February 21 st , 2007, Meeting <br />Page 3 <br />Unanimous. A motion was made by Pat Sanford and seconded by Caroline Green for <br />sterilized licensing fee to remain at $5.00. Vote:Unanimous. A motion made by Pat <br />Sanford and seconded by Caroline Green to increase failure to vaccinate from $100.00 to <br />$200.00 Vote: Unanimous. A motion made by Pat Sanford and seconded by Susan <br />Elmore to increase failure to license from $50 to $100.00 VOTE:Unanimous. A motion <br />was by Kristine Bergstrand and seconded by Susan Elmore that the Bite Quarantine fees <br />increase from $10.00 to $15.00. Vote:Unanimous. A motion was made by Kristine <br />Bergstrand and seconded by Pat Sanford that the rest of the shortterm fees be accepted <br />(as set out in the Budget presentation) with the exception of the first redemption fee, <br />which would remain at $10.00. Vote:Unanimous. <br />Community Concerns A discussion was held and it was decided that email <br />communications that come to the Secretary, Chair or ViceChair of the ASAB will <br />continue to copy via email to each other and that communications be compiled in hard <br />copy format and provided in the packets that are sent out each month to committee <br />members prior to each board meeting. <br />Informal Discussion Bob Marotto would like to invite Carl Williams, State Public Veterinarian, <br />cosponsored by the Health Department to speak on rabies and to share knowledge of this topic <br />in some type of separate event. There was informal support and it was also suggested that <br />veterinarians be invited to such a presentation. <br />Motion was made by Kristine Bergstrand and seconded by Bonnie Norwood to adjourn meeting <br />at 8:45 p.m. Vote: Unanimous. <br />Next ASAB Meeting: Wednesday, March 21st t , 2007 at 6:30 p.m. in the Conference Room, <br />Southern Human Services, 2501 Homestead Road, Chapel Hill.
